Installation – Dec 2024 & March 2025

Helios Renewable supplied two 45kVa Hybrid Power System (HPS) units which provide battery power to the two separate Rio Tinto Rail Response Hubs facilities, with battery charging via the 8kWP solar arrays and internal generator, also supplied was 30kVa standby generator. The HPS45 units were integrated early into the design to provide a seamless interface into the facility.

HPS45 deployed at Rio Tinto's Rail Response Hub in Rosella & Emu, WA, powering a 24/7 operation in the heart of the Pilbara with incredible efficiency.

This system is projected to save 89% on diesel compared to a traditional 60kVA genset, significantly reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

With solar panels that fold down for easy cleaning, the HPS45 is perfectly suited to handle the dust-heavy conditions of this remote environment.
